Cherry Grove Real Estate

North Myrtle Beach South Carolina is comprised of four smaller communities the northernmost one of which is Cherry Grove. It is so named despite the fact that one seeking ocean front condos and houses for sale in this palmetto state community is more likely to see lodge pole pines and wax myrtles than fruit trees. The other three communities descend south of Cherry Grove. They are Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill.

These were separate towns until 1968 when they were incorporated into the town of North Myrtle Beach. Another small town called Atlantic Beach, S.C. lies in the middle of North Myrtle Beach's four communities. This is confusing for most visitors seeking a " for sale: Myrtle Beach condos" address particularly when Myrtle Beach residents speak about the north and south of that town. It almost sounds like a classic joke about rural Americans and visiting City Slickers. The punch line of course being, "Well at least I'm not lost!"

Following U.S. Highway 17 North and South will lead to most of the Grand Strand's various communities with Condos for Sale eventually. Those considering a vacation property purchase in the area may find navigating these busy towns easier during peak season when catching a bus offered by the Conway, S.C. Coast RTA. The Coast RTA operates between Conway, Georgetown, North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach. Most routes run on the hour and prices are very reasonable.

The North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach Real Estate market in general is nirvana for real estate sales professionals. The toughest part of the job must surely be giving directions to buyers inspecting condos for sale and condos for rent because this real estate sells itself. Cherry Grove Real Estate, in particular, sells a little better than hotcakes.

The main road running east and west through Cherry Grove is Sea Mountain Highway. Most attractions of interest to visitors are located along it or north and south on Ocean Boulevard or U.S. Highway 17 & Business 17. Within this small grid of streets are found the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier, Prince Resort, Surf Golf and Beach Club among with many restaurants and other businesses. The entire area is quite congested, as one would expect, during tourist season.

Needless to say, North Myrtle Beach's Cherry Grove section is filled to the brim with investment property and vacation listings. The upside to all of this for locals is that the crowds only last throughout the summer. The rest of the year sees these coastal communities turn back into pleasant small towns. The best kept secret of all is that the weather is actually nicer in the spring and fall so that year around residents have the nearly deserted beaches to themselves.

It is the off season for the over 60 complexes of oceanfront condos that really make Myrtle Beach South Carolina Real Estate a great value. Well before tourist season gets started and after Labor Day are the mildest weather in the coastal Carolinas. In the very hot mid to late summer the traffic does become a burden and the crowds swell population density to that of a large metropolitan area.
